With a USB microphone, you can quickly record, attend online meetings or host podcasts without even having to fuss with an audio interface. The ESI cosMik uCast USB microphone doesn't just support all of this, but comes with a neat software bundle on the side. Simply plug this microphone directly into a free USB port of your Mac or PC with the included USB-C or USB 2.0 cable, or using the right adapter (not included), plug it into your iOS device, whether it's an iPhone or iPad. What you get in return is the crystal clear audio quality of a cardioid polar pattern, which efficiently ignores ambient noise and focusses entirely on your voice. The controls are just as simple as setting up: adjust the input gain and output volume via the two knobs fitted on the front of the microphone itself while the mute switch at the top can be hit to cut off the microphone sound while you can still hear sound from your computer. The hardware monitoring can also be controlled using the included software.
